If you need access to other ProRes flavors, you have to go to Filmic Pro, where you will find ProRes 422 HQ, 422 (standard), 422 LT and ProRes 422 Proxy. In 4K, up to 30 fps are possible in ProRes, in HD up to 60 fps. According to our first tests, we always record in ProRes 422 HQ. If you now start the camera app, you will find a "ProRes" button in the margin menu in video mode, which can be activated/deactivated via touch. To use ProRes for the native camera app on the iPhone 13 Pro, you have to enable "Apple ProRes" under Settings/Camera/Formats. We had already tested the new ProRes recording quite in detail when we unlocked the ProRes API under Filmic Pro here. Among other things, we now find Shareplay, screen sharing for FaceTime, Covid 19 vaccination certificate integration in Apple Wallet and - of particular interest for video users: ProRes support in the native Apple Camera app for the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. With the just released iOS 15.1 update, Apple brings a whole series of innovations that were already announced at the presentation of the new iPhone 13 models.
